Neither of us arrived here in a straight line.

We took the scenic route. It was longer than planned and better than expected, and it taught us exactly what we were looking for. So when we found it, we knew.

We found each other later. We are delighted about it and slightly amused by the timing.

Matched in temperament, in humour, in what we believe and in how we intend to live. God at the centre of it, our guide and our witness.

We are getting married.

We are keeping the day small on purpose, because the promise matters more than the production. The people in the room are the ones who carried us, prayed for us, and never let us settle for less. You are one of them. Come and stand with us.

How it unfolds

One venue, one long summer evening. Nothing to drive between - arrive once, and stay until the last song.

Driving from Johannesburg is about 55 minutes on the N1 north, then the R21 exit; leave a margin, late-afternoon traffic on the N1 is unforgiving. From Pretoria centre it is roughly 25 minutes east; the last two kilometres are gravel but graded, and a normal car is fine. Parking is free, on site and guarded overnight; leaving your car and collecting it the next morning is entirely normal and actively encouraged. Flying in, OR Tambo is 45 minutes away and Lanseria about an hour; both have the usual car hire desks.
